OUR STORY
Our journey took an unexpected turn with the arrival of our third child. Having been seasoned parents, we thought we knew the ropes, but raising a child with special needs brought unforeseen challenges. A notable issue was our child's sensory disorder-driven compulsion to remove clothing, often leading to messy and chaotic situations both at home and in public. The disorder compelled disrobing, which would result in tracking messes across our living spaces, turning every outing into a potential crisis.
Desperate for a solution and drawing on my background in fashion design, we developed SecureWear. Our aim was clear: to design an outfit that prevented disrobing without compromising on comfort. Years of meticulous testing have honed SecureWear into a garment that provides peace of mind. As our daughter matured, SecureWear evolved into a foundational garment, offering dignity in public and relaxation at home.
SecureWear is crafted to assist not only the individuals with Intellectual Disabilities, Sensory Disorders, Eczema, or Alzheimer's but also their caregivers. It is inspired by the Biblical account of Jesus multiplying five loaves and two fish to feed the multitudes, embodying the spirit of abundance and care. While SecureWear by Five and Two may not address every challenge faced by caregivers, it aims to profoundly impact one significant aspect of care.
